University of WarwickTransformation of an important central space opposite the Arts Centre into an attractive welcoming environment. A piazza with an arena and performance space has been created taking advantage of the site topography. The piazza itself is defined by its patterned brick paving, terraced stone steps and brick retaining walls. A row of trees is continuing the rhythm set outside the Students’ Union building. Wider improvements were also implemented in order to create an accessible and pedestrian friendly area including additional seating, new lighting and tactile paving.
